Relaxation and adventure await you at Villa Cantamar in the tranquil town of Playa Langosta. Designed with a beautiful open concept layout and natural colors, you’ll feel the warm, comforting sensation of being at home the moment you arrive at this bright, modern penthouse condo. Begin your day preparing a light meal in the fully outfitted kitchen, then grab a drink and step out onto the grand balcony to sit peacefully for a while, as you listen to the waves crash against the volcanic rocks on the beach below. To make the most of your time, head out to the white sand and deep blue ocean to spend time swimming, taking a surf lesson or even try stand up paddle boarding with a local guide. After working up an appetite, take your guests around the corner to a great sandwich spot or delicious Italian pizzeria to enjoy one of many great meals. Spend the afternoon cooling off in the sparkling, blue waters of the beachfront infinity pool, or sink into one of the lounge chairs and take a delightful siesta while listening to the sounds of nature all around you. As the sun begins to set, take your guests back upstairs to the spacious balcony, where you can all witness the marvelous event unfolding. To share a more intimate sunset, sneak away to the master suite, located on the second floor of the condo, to relish in the spectacular views from the privacy of your very own balcony. As diner time rolls around, assign the designated chef and decide on whether you’d like your dinner grilled out on the balcony or cooked stove top before gathering the rest of your group at the gorgeous, handcrafted teak table to view the photos taken that day. Once dinner is over, proceed into the livingroom to plop down onto the ultra cushy couch and initiate an entertaining party game to get everyone laughing or play a favorite movie for all to see. When the urge to sleep finally kicks in, head to your heaven for a calming warm shower, before melting into the luxurious king-size bed. Your guests will have the option to choose between the second master suite featuring a king-size bed, private bathroom and beautiful sights or the third bedroom that provides two twin beds, a private bathroom, a second TV, and the added bonus of a separate cozy terrace visible from the condo entrance.

Playa Langosta is a great little beach town known for its fantastic intermediate surfing waves and amazing sunset views. The town offers several international restaurants with amazing dishes, shops with many little gems and even a small mercado where you’ll find all of the basics you’ll need for your stay. Just a few short blocks away, the larger town of Playa Tamarindo provides a wider selection of international restaurants, fun bars, quaint shops, grocery stores and plenty of different activities for every member of your group, including a beautiful afternoon catamaran cruise around the Pacific coastline. Here, you’ll explore a secluded beach and go snorkeling to observe all of the wonderful sea life around. Your adventure concludes with watching the glorious sunset while out on the water. A perfect end, to a wonderful day in Costa Rica.

  We truly enjoyed our time in Costa Rica and the condo we rented made it even better. The unit is very nice, with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The bedrooms each have their own bathroom, and 2 have amazing ocean views and access to the patios. The 2 patios have comfortable furniture, and plenty of it, to watch the beautiful sunsets. The beach is right outside the pool gate, and if you walk to the south, crossing the river at low tide, you'll have almost a mile of undeveloped beach to explore. Downtown Tamarindo is just a short golf cart ride away (5 minutes) and offers wonderful restaurants and shopping. There are also a handful of great restaurants within walking distance of the condo. Natalia and Mario were absolutely wonderful, helping book excursions, provide restaurant recommendations, and attend to any needs in the unit. We had a small issue with the AC dripping and they were extremely responsive and quick to fix the issue. We can't wait to visit Costa Rica again and will definitely stay in this unit again. I would hands down recommend this condo!

  I stayed in unit 302 at Horizontes Del Mar twice in three weeks (once for 4 days and another time for 8 days). The location is perfect - close enough to comfortably walk into Tamarindo to restaurants and shops (via the beach or the road) but set in a tranquil setting right on the beach next to the Langosta million dollar homes. It was difficult to decide where to watch the incredible sunsets every night - one of the two porches from the condo, or from the ocean-side infinity pool. Both were spectacular. There is a 2 mile long undeveloped beach to the left (south) of the condo unit that's spectacular. It's a turtle sanctuary and a perfect place for surfing or fishing. At low tide you can snorkel in the large pools right in front of the building.
  Unit 302 is very spacious - I think it was aprox. 2200 sq feet - with three large bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and two of these with amazing ocean views. The kitchen is spacious, and it is positioned so that you can even watch the sunset as you cook in the evening.
  I walked down the beach to Tamarindo for breakfast at beachside restaurants every morning (try Noguis).Couldn't be better.

  Pictures are 100% accurate - the view truly is that beautiful! Short walk to the gorgeous sandy part of the beach and just about a mile from downtown Tamarindo with so many amazing restaurants.
